Catoosa High School’s Kristyn Reich is a varsity fastpitch softball player and one of the top infielders in the class. Listed as a Utility performer, Reich plays middle infield plus a variety of positions depending upon the needs of the team for any given game. Reich has big plans for her future, which includes taking her talents to the next level. “I plan to play softball in college and major in early childhood education,” said Reich.
Before she starts classes at the university level, Reich and her teammates are looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish in a crazy season like the one everyone is facing in 2020. She loves playing with this group and the bond they have created. “I love playing with my teammates because we have an amazing bond together and we all have each other’s backs,” said Reich.
When she found out her senior year was going to include softball, Reich was excited to take the field and represent Catoosa one last time. “I’m glad we got to come to school and I’m so excited we’ve been playing this season. Most of my teammates are seniors and this is our last chance to play together,” said Reich.
When she’s not knocking down line-drives or kicking up some dirt, you can find Reich spending time with family and loved ones. “I love traveling with my family and hanging out with my friends outside of school and softball,” said Reich.
Family is important to the senior. Their influence helped shape her into the person and player she is today. “My parents have been my biggest influence for me, they always make sure I got to practice on time and that I always had everything I needed. They have pushed me to get where I am today,” said Reich.
