DEFENSE
The Catoosa defense will look to play more aggressively and stronger, while also causing problems for opposing offenses. Brock Ferguson (6-1, 215, Sr.) and Zach Ferguson (5-10, 175, Sr.) will play at the linebacker positions and will keep an eye on the running and passing game of the opposing team. In the secondary, defensive backs Kameron Neighbors (5-5, 140, Sr.) and Colyn Treat (5-7, 140, Sr.) will work to lock down opposing receivers and try to keep big plays to a minimum. Defensive linemen Danny Rowe (6-2, 235, Sr.) and Ashton Monroe (6-2, 220, Sr.) have put in the time and work and will wreak havoc on the opposing team. While the Indians enter the season with much excitement and hope, the schedule dealt them is not an easy one. They have to face eight teams that made the playoffs in 2020, including Class 4A state champion Wagoner Bulldogs. Joining Hood’s staff will be offensive assistant coaches Sal Guerrero and Josh Smith, and d on the defensive side will be Chase Frazier, Jeff Brown, and Malik Walker.
