“Nate would rather win and not score than collect individual accolades without team success. He’s super coachable and hyper competitive.” -Coach Pat Flesher
VYPE: What does your team and teammates mean to you?
Oxford: My team is like a second family to me; they push me to be better on and off the court and I have developed friendships that I will never forget.
VYPE: When you hear coach Flesher say you are an unsung hero on this team, what does that say to you and how do you define that term?
Oxford: To me being an “unsung hero” is someone who puts in the hard work and does not receive the reward or recognition. I am not sure if the title “unsung hero” describes me because for all that I put in I am rewarded with the ability to continue doing what I love to do.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what are your plans after you graduate?
Oxford: I am a senior this year, after graduation I plan on attending college where I am considering focusing on a degree in physical therapy.
