9 Qs With Catoosa’s Cole Edwards – Presented By Eyecare of Catoosa Hills

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Cole: All of my teammates leave their own individual impressions on me.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Cole: My favorite memory of playing would be when I played at Heritage Hills with my cousin.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Cole: Having the opportunity to play the sport I love with my teammates while representing my
school on the course has been my favorite part.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Cole: The teacher that has influenced me the most is my Ok History/Indian Up teacher this year,
Mr. Cheves taught me so much about respect and how to live my life after school. One other
teacher has had an impact on my life, my 5th-grade teacher, Mrs. Capsey taught me a lot of
things about leadership and how to acquire those skills and use them in everyday life.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Cole: Everybody around me inspires me, there’s not just one person, there’s a saying that I
love, it states, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This quote can’t be any more true because
everybody inspires me to do the things that I love.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Cole: The best advice came from my older sister, Kelcie Hughes, “Always work hard, be
confident but stay humble and never forget where you came from.” Another one came from my
dad, “Always strive to be part of the solution and not the problem.”
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take
with you?
Cole: I would love to go to Cuba because of its unique culture, beaches, and beautiful classic
cars. I would take my mom, dad, sisters, brother, grandparents, and maybe a few close friends
too.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Cole: My all-time favorite meal is the Steak & Shrimp at Osaka.
Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Cole: I would like to shout out My Ok History/Indian Up teacher, Mr. Cheves for teaching me so
much about life, he is such an amazing role model.
