VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Tray: I first started playing at the age of three and fell in love with the sport and have played ever since.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Tray: My favorite part about being on a team is being given the opportunity to be a leader and teach the younger boys the ropes.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Tray: I’m passionate about my sport because I’ve been playing for about 15 years and it has taught me a lot about life.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Tray: My favorite memory of playing is earlier this year in Berryhill when we had to play a doubleheader. I hit a home run in each game and the boy’s faces were just in shock and then they all went crazy.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Tray: It’s okay to fail as long as you bounce back with your head held high.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Tray: My favorite teacher is Mr. Cheves. He has always just been there when I needed someone with no questions asked.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Tray: My dad inspires me because he’s always been there for me and I hope to be as good of a dad as he has been.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Tray: If I could pick any place for a summer vacation I’d go to Florida. There are beaches there along with the Rays and Marlins ballparks.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Tray: I’d like to give a shout-out to Coach St. Clair our athletic director. She’s done everything she could to help out all of our athletic programs and help get us all better as young adults. I’d also like to thank Coach Ellis. He came in my Junior year and is changing the way our baseball program is run, he’s also helped me tremendously as a player.
