Head Coach: Christian Hood
2020 Record: 0-7
Offense
After a few down years, the Indians enter the 2021 season with a new head coach and new excitement. Christian Hood takes over a squad that has struggled to find wins but he says that they have a plan and are ready to hit the field. “We want to have the ability to stretch the defense both horizontally and vertically,” Hood said. “Multiple formations and personnel groupings will allow us to execute our base plays repeatedly while looking complicated to the defense.” Cason Teutsch (5-10, 150, Sr.) and Aedan Taft (5-10, 160, Sr.) will both spend time at quarterback and receiver, at least in the early going. Running backs Aidan Scraper (5-11, 205, So.) and Mike Barnett (5-10, 200, Jr.) will look to be powerful runners out of the backfield and help open up the passing game. Chris Gutierrez (5-9, 245, Sr.) and Avery Riley (5-10, 255, So.) will anchor an offensive line that has worked hard in the offseason to get stronger, bigger, and faster and will look to make an impact.
