Baylee Wiginton is a senior at Catoosa High School where she plays shortstop for the Lady Indians softball team. This is her first and last year playing softball for the Lady Indians after transferring from Inola High School in the middle of her junior year.
Although, only being a Lady Indian for just a short time period Baylee has loved every second of playing and competing for her coaches and teammates.
“My favorite thing about playing for Catoosa is the coaches and players around me,” Wiginton said. “We go to battle every day for each other and have a lot of fun playing together.”
A major highlight of Baylee’s senior year has been playing and competing alongside her younger sister Brynna Wiginton. Who began her freshmen year of high school at Catoosa this fall. Albeit only being at Catoosa for a short time the senior has treasured every moment she has had competing for the Lady Indians.
Baylee truly exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete on and off the field having a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. The senior shortstop plans to go to Rogers State University to get her undergraduate degree, and then continue to pursue a career in physical therapy.
