“The heartbeat of our team, Isaac is capable of a 50-40-90 season, and makes those around him better every time he takes the floor,” said coach Pat Flesher.
VYPE Magazine caught up with Harris as we enter the second half of the season.
VYPE: Isaac, what do you love most about your team and teammates?
Harris: I love my team because everyone single person on it is included and friends with each other we are a very tight knit group and I’m very proud of that.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher regardless of grade?
Harris: My favorite teacher is Dr. Burchfield. I have only had her for one semester, but she gives the best advice and is there for me no matter what. She treats everyone like she is their mom and that’s how she got the nickname “Mama Burch.”
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
Harris: My plan after graduation is to join the military.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory from high school?
Harris: I don’t think I have a specific favorite memory, but I know I’ll always look back and remember how fun it always was with the group of guys I have now.
VYPE: When you return for your ten-year reunion with the class of 2022, who will be the most successful classmate in ten years?
Harris: I got my money on me being the most successful, but that’s just the mindset I have.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say thanks, hello or goodbye to anyone you wish. The floor is yours.
Harris: I want to give a shout-out to my dad, Brad Harris, who has attended every single one of my games and who has had my back since day one. I’d also like to shout out to my mom Jovanna Harris, she works two jobs and somehow still finds ways to make it to my games and is always the loudest one in the gym. I’ll forever be grateful for the both of them.
