Getting to Know Catoosa Softball’s Mallory Warma – Presented by Eyecare of Catoosa Hills

VYPE: What are your sports goals for the year and how is the season going?

Mallory: My sports goals for this year is to get recruited to play college softball. We are 11-15 so far and we have improved a lot since the beginning of the season.

VYPE: What are you looking forward to the most this sports season?

Mallory: I’m looking forward to senior night. I think it will be a very fun experience.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Mallory: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Dawson, my third grade teacher because we did so many fun and cool projects. I also made a lot of friends that I am still friends with today.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Mallory: My favorite athletic memory was when my old coach got the activity bus stuck on a hill.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Mallory: Ta’Nei West has made the biggest impression on me. I have been trying to get her to play softball since last year and she finally gave it a try. She ended up loving it and has a great work ethic. She’s a good supportive teammate and works on her own athletic abilities even through the struggles.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being part of a team?

Mallory: My favorite part about being a team is that we are all very close and are able to have fun while staying focused on the game.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Mallory: I would go to Colorado for a summer vacation because I love the scenery and the weather is so nice. I would go there with my family.

VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

Mallory: If I had to spend 500 dollars in 24 hrs I would buy myself a new glove because mine is old and worn.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Mallory: Thank you to my coaches, parents, and teammates who have helped me come so far in and out of my softball career. They have made me who I am today.
