Gunner Wilson was a junior high state champion and is now part of the varsity team at Catoosa High School. Head coach Mike Clevenger is excited to see what he can accomplish at the high school level.
We caught up with Gunner before the season started to learn more about the newest member of the varsity team at Catoosa.
VYPE: Tell us your favorite memory as a student-athlete.
Wilson: My best memories as a student-athlete is after matches listening to how proud my mom is of me.
VYPE: If you were stranded on an island who are the three people you would want with you and why?
Wilson: Jesus for my faith. My stepdad for his survival skills and my brother to pick on.
VYPE: What is your go to lunch at the school cafeteria?
Wilson: I would usually say a salad during wrestling season, but when I’m playing football it’s always a chicken sandwich.
